Trips
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL TRIPS WILL NOW BE ON A TUESDAY UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO DRIVER AVAILABILITY.
Thanks to us being successful in accessing a grant, the cost of the trips will again be subsidised, £10 for Okehampton and along the route. We may be able to include pick up from other areas if there is enough demand for an extra £2. Please be ready for collection from 9am to ensure the driver is not held up. Please let us know if you need to cancel a trip, don’t wait until we ring you the day before with the pick up time as we have already worked out our route and rung other passengers. Thank you. If you have any suggestions of places you would like us to include then let us know and we will try and include them.

Coffee Morning 15th April Charter Hall, Okehampton 9-12
We will be holding our coffee morning with the usual stalls, refreshments and raffle. We would welcome donations for both the raffle and suitable items for sale e.g. books, jigsaw puzzles, games, bric-a-brac, these can be brought along on the day from 08.30 or can be dropped into the office or collected by arrangement.
Drivers
We welcome Angus Farrelly, Okehampton to our team. We also welcome Michael Scutt who will also be driving our buses when required.
Staff
We welcome Sarah Packer as our new part time co-ordinator. Many of you may already know Sarah as she has been a carer at Castleham Lodge and also used to run Sweet Success. Please be patient with her if she asks more questions than usual when you ring to make a booking, as she will not recognise names and voices for a while so will want to ensure that she has all the information we need to put the request onto our system.
Alan Perrott
We are sorry to report that Alan sadly passed away in November following a long illness which he fought to the end, he will be sorely missed by his family, friends and the wider community where he was so respected for his volunteering, humour and friendship. He was a volunteer driver for many years and always had his wife, Lin at his side which was much appreciated by many of our clients who needed an extra helping hand. We are grateful to the family for choosing us as one of the recipients of donations in his memory.

Wheelchairs
We have wheelchairs available for hire or sale in our office. Please speak to us if you would like more information. We also currently have a nearly new mobility scooter available. And a walking frame.
