Or are you unable to get to the library?
Devon Libraries has a wonderful free service for readers who are unable to get to the library because of health, mobility or caring responsibilities. It is called the Home Library Service, where volunteers deliver books and audiobooks to the client in their own home or care setting, then collect and return them to the library.
The Home Library team are a small and friendly group and would love to help more people, so welcome volunteers and clients.
Visits are very individual, some clients may need a visit every fortnight, some may only need a visit every few months. They liaise to suit both the client and the volunteer.
To receive the service or become a Home Library Service volunteer contact Okehampton Library either by email okehampton.library@librariesunlimited.org.uk or phone 01837 52805.
Join the library for free by filling in the online form at devonlibraries.org.uk or torbaylibraries.org.uk. Follow Libraries Unlimited on Facebook.
